About Victoria Rogers

Victoria Rogers is a Faculty Instructor of Mathematics and the Faculty Coordinator – Team Lead for Faculty-Student Mentoring at NLC. She is from the south – side of San Antonio, TX and is a first-generation college student. She is an alumnus of Texas Lutheran University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and minored in Biology and Music, and an alumnus of the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she earned a Master of Science in Applied and Industrial Mathematics.

Mrs. Rogers began her teaching career with NLC as an adjunct instructor in 2013 but began teaching college-level at UTSA in 2010. At NLC, Mrs. Rogers teaches all types of math and statistic courses. She is involved with the NLC Math Club, where they enlighten students with the endless possibilities of options you can take with STEM field degrees. Mrs. Rogers is leading and motivating students who may come from underprivileged circumstances and encourages them that anyone can rise above and become who they want to be. Her main goal as a college professor is to be a light for her students, and inspire them to, "...be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." 2 Chronicles 15:7

During her entire academic career, she was an instrumental performer and continues to play for her community. Also in her free time, Mrs. Rogers loves to spend time with her family, baking, fishing, site seeing and is a volunteer with the VIP programs with SAPD and SAFD.
