Recreation Activities

Recreational sports provide structured competitive and non-competitive activities for men, women and co-ed teams. Students have the opportunity to participate in the following:

  • 7 on 7 Co- ED Flag Football Tournaments
  • 4 on 4 Co-ED Volleyball Tournaments
  • 3 on 3 Co-ED Basketball Tournaments
  • Co-Ed Soccer Tournaments
  • Ping Pong Tournaments

  • Hiking

Below is the schedule for the weight room, gym and rock climbing wall for the Fall semester.  

Weight Room Fall Semester Hours: 

  • Monday: 2:00pm-6:30pm
  • Tuesday:  2:00pm-6:30pm
  • Wednesday:  2:00pm-6:30pm
  • Thursday:  2:00pm-6:30pm
  • Friday: 1:00pm-4:30pm

Open Gym Fall Semester Hours: 

  • Monday: 2:00pm-6:30pm
  • Tuesday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
  • Wednesday: 2:00pm-6:30pm
  • Thursday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
  • Friday: 1:00pm-4:30pm

  Weight Room/ Gym Rules            

  • Check in at the front desk
  • Valid Alamo College I.D. required
  • Shirt must be worn at all times.
  • No street shoes
  • Bottles with caps are allowed
  • No eating in the gym
  • Hours subject to change
  • No hanging on the rims

Rock Climbing Wall

Come check out the only rock climbing wall in the Alamo Colleges! The NLC Rockwall is three stories high and features climbing routes for every skill level. We provide all necessary training and equipment. You can tie in and climb the three stories or stay closer to the ground on the bouldering wall. Rock climbing is a fun way to exercise and a great way to make new friends!
