Tutoring Services

NLC provides multiple labs dedicated to the success of each student. Online learning is supported by in-house tutoring through Zoom and by third-party Brainfuse.com. See the links in the left-hand navigation.

Tutoring will be available from 1/18 through 2/7 on Zoom:

  • Mon-Thurs, 9 am - 7 pm
  • Fri, 9 am - 2 pm
  • Sat, 9 am - 12:30 pm

The mission of the Academic Support Center is to:

  • Empower students with comprehensive academic support that promotes independent learning and critical thinking in a mutually respectful environment
  • Support faculty and staff by eliminating barriers to comprehension and facilitating student progress through supplemental instruction and embedded tutoring

The Academic Support Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Library in NLIB 214 - We will re-open for in-person tutoring on 2/7:

  • Mon-Thurs, 9 am - 7 pm
  • Fri, 9 am - 2 pm
  • Sat, 9 am - 12:30 pm 

and provides CRLA Level 1 certified tutoring on a drop-in basis for individuals or groups in all levels of Math, English, and other subjects. Tutors work with students to address subject matter and devise study strategies.

Want To Be A Tutor?

The Academic Support Center has regular openings for Tutors to work at a walk-in table to answer questions or for SI Leaders to lead review sessions for specific classes. You must be over 18 and have a B in the class and a 2.75 GPA overall. See Kathy Bryson in NLIB 214 to learn more!
