Dr. Minkyung Lee has been a member of the voice faculty at Northwest Vista College, since 2014. Dr. Lee, a native of South Korea, received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in vocal performance from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a teacher with a motivational, positive, and energetic character. Dr. Lee enjoys being in an academic setting where she is able to empower her students and nourish their musical talents. Every Fall semester, Dr. Lee is participating Two-Year College All-State Choir audition with selected singers from Concert Choir.  Spring semester, She is actively participating NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) South Texas Spring Audition with selected voice students to represent the NVC music department.
Dr. Minkyung Lee is a versatile musician who sings opera and performs recitals throughout the United States. She also serves on the faculty of the Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Lee is a choir director for exciting Vista's Concert Choir and has been conducting Galilee Choir at the St. Luke United Methodist Church in Killeen, Texas, since 2002.
Dr. Minkyung Lee was a soprano soloist with the Concert Choir of the University of Texas. She performed the role of Mrs. Holen in the Premiere Opera Genghis Khan, with the Salvage Vanguard Theater Company. Dr. Lee has also performed roles with the University of Texas Opera Theater and the Ascoli Summer Opera, including Mrs. Norlan in The Medium, the Nursing Sister in Suor Angelica, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, and the title role of Anna Bolena. She is actively collaborating with NVC’s dance faculty, Brittany Lopez has been partnered with this voice art project since 2018. Dr. Minkyung Lee's voice art project, One Step Closer: Joy of Collaboration of Classical Music, where she believes in the beauty behind classical music and the many benefits of listening to classical songs for younger generations, has been actively collaborating with guest artists since 2016.
