Hermano Grande

Northwest Vista College Fine Art program presents the first art exhibition of 2021: Hermano Grande featuring artwork by Michael Menchaca.

Through an ongoing series of works, Menchaca explores how the domineering tech industry—largely based out of Silicon Valley—is currently transforming the lives of Latinx families in the United States. The works in this virtual exhibition have been created using a variety of media including, acrylic paint, digital drawing, screenprinting, and animation.

Born in 1985 in San Antonio, TX, Menchaca received his Associates Degree from San Antonio College in 2007, his BFA from Texas State University in 2011, and his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2015.
