This is an exhibition of the artist book 'The Women's ABC Book' by Hannah March Sanders. It explores themes of sexuality, gender, women's work, art, academia and motherhood. She employs a variety of media in her hand-drawn comics, including silkscreen, pencil, pen and ink. The artist took a Comics and Graphic Novels class at Harvard this summer with Peter Kuper that has informed this work.

Sanders is an Associate Professor and Area Head of Printmaking at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. She teaches printmaking, fiber arts and drawing. She is also the Letterpress Area Education Coordinator at Catapult Press. She received her BFA from Tulane and MFA from Louisiana State University. Hannah is raising two boys and runs a collaborative artistic venture with her husband Blake titled 'Orange Barrel Industries'. She has received several grants to continue her work individually and with her husband. See more of their work together here, Orange Barrel Industries.
