NVC Top Community College for Hispanics
Northwest Vista College featured in a special issue of
The Hispanic Outlook on Education
Standing out in the world of higher education can be challenging. Thousands of schools exist across the county, creating higher levels of competition then ever before. Northwest Vista College, however, has been recognized by The Hispanic Outlook on Education (HO) Magazine as one of the leading community colleges for Hispanics in the United States and has been highlighted in the February issue of HO magazine. NVC is one of only two local colleges of the list of 25 two-year schools. NVC is listed as No. 12.
Every year, HO Magazine (formerly The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine) releases an index of the Top Community Colleges for Hispanics, which consists of lists from the Department of Education. This year’s lists include:
· Percentage of Hispanics in Attendance
· Total Student Enrollment
· 2-Year Schools Awarding the Most Associate Degrees to Hispanics
· Percentage of Hispanics Awarded Associate Degrees by 2-Year Schools
· 4-Year Schools Awarding the Most Associate Degrees to Hispanics
