Palo Alto College provides proctoring services for Distance Education instructors and their students. Examinations are administered in a secure, proctored environment.
Distance Exam Appointments
Appointments are required. Students should contact instructors prior to making an appointment to confirm that the exam was sent to the Assessment and Testing Center. Students are limited to one (1) testing appointment per day.
All appointments are made online at https://pactestcenter.as.me/distanceexams at least one (1) business day in advance. Testing slots are limited and may fill up quickly, please make your appointment early. If you are unable to keep your appointment please cancel/reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
Students must arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to appointment time and present a valid Student ID. Students arriving fifteen (15) minutes late will be required to reschedule. No exceptions will be made.
All testing stops fifteen minutes prior to close of business to allow for workstation logoff and securing of exams.
Personal items (purses, backpacks, etc.) that cannot fit in a 10"x8"x10" locker will not be allowed. If items cannot fit in a locker or be stored, students may be required to reschedule an exam. The following items will not be allowed in the test area: all electronic devices (cell phones, beepers, smart watches, bluetooth devices, etc), headphones, all hats (caps and beanies included), sunglasses, food/beverages, or weapons of any kind. Hooded sweaters are allowd in the testing area, but hoods must remain off all all times
