What is the S.L.A.C.?

The S.L.A.C. is designed to help the students of Alamo Colleges District get the most out of their education. The S.L.A.C. supplements classroom instruction by offering learning strategies that enhance the success potential of traditional students in the college environment.

What services are available? When?

Until further notice, our computer and test proctoring services are not available as the San Antonio College campus is closed.

Note: Tutoring services are available by appointment. Drop-in tutoring is ok but is dependent on the tutors not having appointments. Students can schedule their own tutoring appointments by using the AlamoNavigate link inside their ACES account.  The tutoring availability schedule is posted on the SAC Remote Tutoring page along with tutorial videos on how to schedule appointments and using Zoom.

If you are having trouble setting up your own appointments, please contact us at 210-486-0165 or send an email to sac-tutoring@alamo.edu. If you send an email, make sure to include the necessary information (Banner ID, day, time, course number, whether in-person or Zoom) so that an appointment can be scheduled.

Self-Help Handouts and Course Tutorials on a variety of subjects are also available for download.

The S.L.A.C. serves all currently enrolled Alamo Colleges District students.
