    ATTN: MDCA 1313 must be completed with a grade of "C" or better prior to starting the EMT-Basic program.

    Once you have completed the online application an automatic conformation email will be sent to you indicating the date and time of an info session that all applicants are required to attend.  


Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 53, requires notice be given to all applicants and enrollees regarding the consequences of a criminal conviction on eligibility for an occupational license. Please Note:

  • The EMS program at San Antonio College does not offer Internal Examination for Credit Hours for any core EMSP courses.
  • The EMS program will accept EMT-Basic National Registry Examination or state of Texas EMT-Basic credentials as proof of EMT-Basic education in lieu of EMSP 1501 and EMSP 1260.
  • The EMS program will accept EMT-Paramedic National Registry Examination or state of Texas EMT-Paramedic credentials toward an AAS Paramedic degree as proof of EMT-Paramedic education in lieu of the program's EMSP paramedic courses.
  • No credit is accepted by the EMS program for Experiential Learning.
