Getting Started is EASY!

International Students

ESLA/ENGA Students (credit students)

HOW DO I APPLY?
  1. APPLY TEXAS: Complete WEB Admission Form online: www.applytexas.org (Web Admission process takes 4 business days.)
  2. BANNER ID: Receive Banner ID in email from College.
  3. TRANSCRIPTS: EVALUATE YOUR Transcripts www.naces.org. Submit Official Transcripts & Evaluation OR GED scores to Admission and Records(FAC #216).
    1. High school diploma – Basic / General Evaluation.
    2. University transcripts – Course by Course Evaluation.
    3. GED in Spanish or English
  4. MENINGITIS VACCINATION: If you are UNDER 22 years old, you must get the Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination and wait 10 days before registering ONLINE.
  5. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY PLACEMENT TEST: Go to OC119 (Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:30 am —days may change; call 486-0965) Bring (1) Any Picture ID and (2) Bring a #2 pencil; Plan for PARKING--Test begins promptly at 9:30.– ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY!
  6. REGISTRATION: Log on to your ACES account to register for classes ONLINE.

HOW MUCH DO I PAY?

Financial aid (available for citizens and permanent residents ONLY).

Paying for College

IMPORTANT NOTE: 27 HOUR Rule for Tuition Costs (for citizens and permanent residents only).

Students taking more than 27 hours of Developmental Education courses (including ESLA or ENGA courses) will have to pay an additional charge of $118.00 PER HOUR for In-District tuition and $176.00PER HOUR for Out-of-District tuition.
Non-Texas residents or international students do not have to pay the additional charge.

CE-ESL Students (noncredit students)

HOW DO I APPLY?

  1. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY PLACEMENT TEST:  Go to OC119 (Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:30 am —
    days may change; call 486-0965).  Bring a #2 pencil –Plan for PARKING – ARRIVE 15 MINUTES BEFORE TEST – Bring Any Picture ID.
  2. Create Profile Application (OC #119)
  3. Register for Classes (OC #119)

  1. Pay your tuition IN CASH (FAC #201) OR with credit/debit card through ACES
  2. Go to FAC #200 with your PAID bill to get a free student ID.
