Biology: Pre-Pharmacy
What is the Biology: Pre-Pharmacy program?
The Biology Pre-Pharmacy program is designed for students who intend to gain admission to a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program after transferring and graduating with a bachelor's degree.
What will I learn?Although the emphasis of the coursework is focused on biology, chemistry, physics, and math, Pre-pharmacy students are also advised to complete general education courses which will allow transfer into a university bachelor's program as a junior. Finishing an AS degree with a Pre-pharmacy emphasis allows students to incur less debt on the path to a PharmD. What can I do with this course of study?Upon completion of the PharmD, students have the option to practice as a pharmacist. |
What's special about this program? The Natural Sciences Department also offers specialized Pre-professional advising through the Pre-professional Health Advisory Committee. Visit the department to schedule an appointment.
