Prior to Census Date
Students may drop course(s) prior to Census date (See academic calendar for dates) by logging in to ACES. The course will not appear on a transcript. Go to Admissions if you cannot access the drop area.
Steps to Complete Withdrawal Request
*Note: Students cannot add/drop online in ACES during Enrollment Management Period, which is one week before classes start. For extenuating circumstances, call the department during this period to drop/add classes.
Students wishing to withdraw from part of their classes should contact their instructor to withdraw them electronically.
Students wishing to withdraw from all of their classes should go to the Counseling get withdrawal slips for each course, take slips to Admissions and Records FAC 216 for processing.
A student dropped for excessive absences resulting in lack of progress may be reinstated to class at the discretion of the instructor of record only if circumstances justify reinstatement. The appropriate reinstatement form must be signed by the faculty member and submitted to Admissions and Records Office.
Note to Financial Aid Students
- Students on financial aid will owe money if they drop any course on/or before census date.
- Student on financial aid will owe money if they drop all courses before 60% of the semester is complete ( Student Financial Services must calculate the amount of funds the student did not earn).
- Students who owe financial aid money as a result of a past drop will be unable to obtain financial aid until the amount owed is fully paid.
