Student Conversations for the Future

Your Voice. Our Vision.

“Conversations for the Future” is a facilitated exercise developed by Peter Block intended to move us towards creating a transformational community.

It’s a strategy towards changing our expectations and creating a future that is distinct from the past.

The gatherings will feature a “Conversations for a Change” direction giving students an opportunity to use their voices to help shape plans to reach our mission and fulfill the vision of the Alamo Colleges District.

Key elements include:

• Engaging all voices openly
• Creating an atmosphere of opportunity to impact positive change for the Alamo Colleges’ family
• Leveraging Alamo Colleges’ investments to yield greater success for students

The process will allow participants to choose the topics in which to engage for discussion throughout the event.

Table-top conversations will be focused on those topics. The information collected will be used to inform the Alamo Colleges District strategic plan.
