SAC Celebrates LGBTQIA History Month

San Antonio College will present a series of events to celebrate LGBTQIA History month in October.  

Thursday, Oct. 10
National Coming Out Day Resource Fair
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
SAC Mall,
Students will have the opportunity to visit with different LGBTQIA+ resources and organizations.

Tuesday, Oct. 15
LGBTQIA+: Ask Me Anything Day
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
SAC Mall
Students will have the opportunity to ask representatives any question about the LGBTQIA+ community.

Wednesday, Oct. 23
Stonewall at 50 Movie and Discussion
10:05 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.
LSC Fiesta Room
Students will watch a documentary and reflect with a panel of representatives.

Monday, Oct. 28 
MAS and LGBTQIA+ History Committee Presents: Anel Flores
Presentation & Discussion
6 to 9 p.m.
Victory Center Valor Room
Presentation by award-winning writer and artist Anel Flores with discussion at the end.

Tuesday, Oct. 29 – Thursday, Oct. 31 
LGBTQIA+ History Exhibit
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
MLC - 4th Floor
Visit our exhibit to learn more about the history of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Wednesday, Oct. 30
Screening of Chavela
12:15 p.m.
MLC - 4th Floor
Screening of the movie Chavela with discussion at the end.
