Enrollment Steps

Step 1: Submit Your Application for Admission

Go to ApplyTexas.org to apply for admission. Allow 3-5 business days for processing.

Step 2: Apply for Financial Aid

Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at fafsa.gov

Please allow a minimum of four months to complete the financial aid process.

SAC's federal school code is 009163.

Step 3: Submit All Transcripts and Official Documents

Transcripts and official documents should be submitted to the SAC Office of Admissions. 

The Office of Admissions is located in the Fletcher Administration Center (FAC), Room 216. If submitting in person, documents should remain sealed. 

Official documents can also be mailed directly to: San Antonio College, ATTN: Office of Admissions, 1819 N. Main Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78212.  

Step 4a: Login to ACES, the Student Portal

Visit www.alamoaces.alamo.edu to access your ACES student account.

Click "Get My ACES Username" and follow the instructions for the default password to login for the first time.

Contact the Office of Technology Services Help Desk at (210) 486-0777 for assistance.

Step 4b: Activate Your Navigate Checklist

Click the "Start Here" tab, then "Navigate" to access your personalized enrollment checklist.

Step 5: Submit Proof of Your Bacterial Meningitis Vaccine (if required)

Texas state law requires that all entering students, under the age of 22, show evidence of receiving a bacterial meningitis vaccination during the five-year period prior to enrollment; the law allows for a few exemptions. Submit documents through your ACES Navigate tab. 

 

 

Step 6: Complete AlamoENROLL Modules (if applicable)

Click on your ACES Navigate tab to complete the Go FAAR and Test Prep Modules (if applicable).

For technical assistance with the modules, call the Office of Technology Services Help Desk at (210) 486-0777, press option 7. 

Step 7: Take the TSI Exam (if required)

The Assessment and Testing Center, located in the Fletcher Administration Center (FAC), Room 112, determines if transcripts contain appropriate credits to meet the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirement.

A list of TSI exemptions are available on the SAC Assessment and Testing Center website.

Step 8: Visit Post-Assessment Advising

Immediately after testing, students receive post-assessment advising, located in the Fletcher Administration Center (FAC), Room 105.

Some students may be required to take a refresher course before proceeding with the enrollment process.

Step 9: Complete New Student Orientation & Register for Classes

Students with fewer than 15 college credit hours are required to sign up for New Student Orientation (NSO) before registering for classes.

Sign-up online or via your ACES Navigate tab.

Step 10: Pay Your Bill

Pay your bill in full or set-up a payment plan before the payment deadlines to avoid being dropped from your classes.

Cash payments can be made in person at the SAC Business Office, located in the Fletcher Administration Center (FAC), Room 201. Or, you can pay online via your ACES Navigate tab.
