Competition Outline

This competition will highlight the scholarly work of our students. Students from all majors are eligible to showcase their research, talents, and abilities. 

 

Eligibility

The competition is open to all San Antonio College students who are currently registered and in good academic standing. 

*The award will first apply to any outstanding obligations to Alamo Colleges. Student financial aid recipients will have funds disbursed in accordance with applicable federal regulations.

We will offer the following award prizes : 

Poster Submission Categories

1st Place: $400 (3 first place winners. One per category)

2nd Place: $200 (3 second place winners. One per category)

3rd Place: $100 (3 third place winners. One per category)

E-Portfolio Submission Categories

  • Submission Deadline
    • April 15th By 11:59pm 
  • Student Showcase Symposium - Required
    • April 20th from 10am-1pm
      • Students will be given a time within this timeframe to present.

  • Utilize the following research poster rubric and template in your poster competition submission. Edit the template with your information then save it as a pdf and upload it into the competition submission form.

    Research not done independently or as a group project must include all contributors in the author's section of the poster. If multiple contributors are submitting the same poster, please include individual abstracts.

  • Students can self-create a portfolio or utilize one completed in connection to a classroom assignment.

Submission Process

Students interested in participating must submit a version of their poster or a link to their portfolio in the submission form below. 

All participants are required to present their poster and/or e-portfolio live during the student showcase or provide a pre-recorded presentation of their submission (no more than 8 min).
