First Time in College (FTIC) Team
Purpose:
As a first-year student you are assigned to a Certified Advisor (CA) who assists you, beginning immediately following New Student Orientation (NSO), during this very important entry to college. Your CA first assists you, during your mandatory Group Advising (GA) session, with:
- Completing your Personal Mission Statement (MMS)
- Identifying your Transfer Intent (TRF)
- Introduction to your GPS degree plan, including your:
- Providing information on learning communities:
- Selecting classes for your first semester, including the required Student Development course
We encourage you to build a meaningful relationship with your assigned advisor and schedule advising appointments each semester so you are best prepared for the exciting year you will have as a SAC ARMADILLO!
