In addition, Professor Jim Lucchelli, student development coordinator and faculty advisor for PTK, received the Horizon Award, an honor given to faculty advisors in Texas who provide outstanding guidance to students in their college chapter.
“This semester, we persevered through online learning and social distancing. We had our first virtual induction ceremony, started our PTK Beta Nu Merit Award Program, as well as the San Antonio College Clubs "Bounce Back" Program,” said Samantha Grimaldi, president of SAC’s Beta Nu chapter.
“The Merit Award Program will provide deserving students with a fully paid membership into Phi Theta Kappa. The College Clubs Program will help campus clubs and organizations with mentoring, as well as funding that they might need. We are hoping to be a Five Star Chapter this school year!” Grimaldi added.
