All Alamo Colleges Faculty and Instructional Technology Staff are invited to the Free EduTech 2019 District-wide Conference focused on Education Technology. The theme this year is Gamification!
Join us to exchange ideas, learn new technology, and build meaningful partnerships in this year’s EduTech 2019 Conference. Enjoy tech presentations and interactive breakout sessions on topics such as gamification, virtual/augmented reality, educational software, and more. Get ready to have fun, learn, and win great prizes and swag bags! Breakfast and Lunch will be provided to all registered participants.
Dr. Ramiro de la Rosa will deliver an exciting keynote presentation on a topic of Gamification. Dr. Ramiro de la Rosa is the Associate Director for Research and Innovation in Distance Education at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Dr. de la Rosa has 19 years of experience in distance education and regularly presents at national and international conferences on the topic of gamification. Dr. de la Rosa is the winner of the 2019 Blackboard Catalyst Award for Teaching & Learning and the 2017 Outstanding Commitment to Excellence and Innovation in Distance Learning by the Texas Distance Learning Association. He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, a Master of Education in Instructional Technology and a Bachelor of Business Administration.
The EduTech Conference is hosted by Faculty Development, Human Resources & Organizational Development, Alamo Colleges and the conference planning committee includes representatives from all the Alamo Colleges.

The second annual conference will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019, at the DoubleTree Hotel located at 37 NE 410, San Antonio, Texas 78216 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
