13 Programs, 1 Sessions: Free SPC Health Sciences Information Sessions

The final 2017 date for St. Philip's College’s monthly free Health Sciences Information Sessions has been set.

The free monthly sessions are where future students of all ages and experience levels begin to learn about 13 of the St. Philip’s College health sciences programs after calling (210) 486-2050 to reserve a spot. Sessions begin with overview presentations in Room 115 of the college's Center for Health Professions building at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive and conclude with tours of the center that offers the newest and most advanced non-military medical training facilities east of the city's Medical Center area. Students learn in the same customized professional training program environment recently announced for employees who support and assist the work of doctors and nurses at San Antonio’s second largest private employer---Methodist Healthcare System of San Antonio While information session parking on campus is also free, the college is also served by VIA busses, and the schedule of remaining sessions is found below.

The 13 programs that are part of the St. Philip's College Health Sciences Information Sessions are:

  • Early Childhood and Family Studies | Diagnostic Medical Sonography | Respiratory Care Technology | Radiography Technology | Surgical Technology | Invasive Cardiovascular Technology | Physical Therapist Assistant | Occupational Therapy Assistant | Vision Care Technology | Medical Laboratory Technology | Histology | Health Information Technology | Phlebotomy

  • Railey Named New Vice Chancellor for Academic Success

    The Alamo Colleges District Board of Trustees has approved the selection of Dr. George Railey, Jr. as the district's new vice chancellor for academic success. Railey, who is currently the associate superintendent of academic affairs at Allan Hancock College in California, will begin his new duties January 24, 2018. Read More >

    The St. Philip's College 138th commencement ceremony is confirmed for Dec. 15 in Freeman Coliseum. The college awards a projected 640 degrees and certificates to 450 candidates for graduation in the event hosted by college president Dr. Adena Williams Loston with commencement keynote speaker The Honorable Peter Sakai, 225th District Court Judge (2006-present), addressing them.
