The Math Emporium

Working through the courses in the AAS, AA, or certificate programs, it is likely that you will encounter many different types of mathematics, from your typical math courses found on any college campus to electrical theory and formulas, blueprint interpretation, scaling materials or supplies, or calculating conversions between different measurement systems.

Located in Building 3 (MDIC) room 114, Math Emporium St Philip’s College Southwest Campus’ open learning lab for applied science and mathematics, and we have seasoned knowledgeable tutors to help you understand, practice and review.

  • We shall continue to offer remote tutoring services to all students registered in an Applied Science course associated with Math Bridge or a math class. You can access Virtual Math Tutoring by clicking on the “tutoring” link within your current Math Bridge CANVAS course to access the main math tutoring page. Virtual tutoring is available Mon-Thurs 8 am-8 pm, and Fridays/Saturdays 8 am-2 pm.

  • Onsite tutoring for students is also available in St Philip’s Southwest Campus’ mathematics lab, The Math Emporium on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 am-8 pm, and can cover topics from applied science courses, all developmental MATH courses as well as MATH 1332, 1314, 1414, 1350 and 1351.
