St. Philip's College hosts a free two-day Innovation Boot Camp for students and faculty Feb. 3 and Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day in the Heritage Room of the Campus Center building at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive in the city's Denver Heights neighborhood (Building marked as "12" on the interactive map HTTP://ALAMO.EDU/SPC/IMAP-MLK/).

The camps are operated at each of Alamo Colleges District’s colleges by The Learning Company, the district’s unique entrepreneurship and innovation initiative. The events take place on Fridays and Saturdays for six hours each day. Those attending the two-day session will be given preference for enrolling in the six-week Entrepreneurship Boot Camps which will take place after Spring Break. Current Alamo Colleges District students and faculty may attend a Boot Camp at any of the colleges to best fit their schedule.

The Boot Camp sessions provide cutting-edge training in human centered design, a new and creative approach to problem solving in the real world taught at top business schools and used by innovation consultants worldwide. Participants receive hands-on instruction which builds on methods from across the field of design to unlock their creative potential and apply it to challenges in their world. These are the only training sessions of this kind offered locally. Programs such as this are usually only available to students at top universities at high cost, according to The Learning Company team. Students and faculty can see a complete schedule and sign up quickly and easily at Contact the following Alamo College District employees for all details on the two-day and six-week camps:
