SPC Welcomed Over 200 Veterans During Texas Veterans Service Fair

SPC's 2nd Annual Texas Veterans Service Fair 

St. Philip’s College Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach and Transition Center (GSVOTC) welcomed 248 veterans during the 2nd Annual Texas Veterans Service Fair on Saturday, November 2, 2019. 

The fair hosted more than 40 organizations that provide services to veterans in Military City, U.S.A. to assist them in identifying potential opportunities, services and tax exemptions for which they are eligible.

The event featured remarks by SPC’s Vice President for Student Success Dr. Mordecai I. Brownlee, SPC’s Director of GSVOTC William Moseley, Representative Barbara Gervin-Hawkins, Senator José Menéndez, Senator Pete Flores, Bexar County Chief Appraiser Michael Amezquita and Alamo Colleges District Chancellor Mike Flores. Councilwoman Jada Andrews-Sullivan and Representative Ina Minjarez were also among those who attended.

The GSVOTC provides free services to Veterans and their families regardless of their affiliation with St. Philip’s College.
