Tiger PAWS Literary Art Journal
Tiger PAWS (Personal Academic Writing Space) is a showcase of student work consisting of writing, in both English and Spanish, and artwork that is published in print and online forms at the end of fall and spring semesters. St. Philip’s students are encouraged to submit their writing and artwork for publication consideration. Categories include:
- Short Fiction (1000 word limit)
- Non-fiction (essays, journals, etc.)
- Fine Art (paintings, sculpture, collages, etc.)
- Digital Art
Student submissions must be original, unpublished work. Written works will be submitted to Turnitin.com. Students
must certify that the work is his or her original composition, poem,
photograph, or artwork.
Students may submit a total of five (5) works. The Spring 2018 submission deadline is March 9, 2018. Files submitted online must be in PDF, Word, or JPEG formats. Fine art may be taken to the Rose R. Thomas Writing Center in NTB 405 to be photographed or scanned.
Plagiarism: In conjunction with The Student Code of Conduct, scholastic dishonesty involves, but is not limited to, “Academic Misconduct, Cheating, Plagiarism, Fabrication and Collusion.” Violations of academic integrity will not be tolerated. Students may be subject to grade and/or disciplinary penalties for academic dishonesty. All cases of plagiarism or other violation of academic integrity/scholastic honesty will be reported to the Vice President of Student Affairs. At the end of fall and spring semesters, published students will have an opportunity to present or display their work at the Tiger PAWS publication event. All are invited to attend, and copies of the journal will be distributed. The Spring 2018 Publication Event will be held in May 1, 2018, in the Bowden Alumni Center (SLC 313) from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
