What is Coursera?

Coursera is an online learning platform that offers a wide range of courses,
specializations, and professional certificates across various fields. Their
offerings are self-paced, allowing learners to complete their courses on their
own time and schedule.

Can I enroll directly through Coursera?

No. The Coursera links on our website are provided so you can learn more about the training curriculum, course content, skills taught, and time commitment.

Do not purchase access to the training on the Coursera website. If you are interested in enrolling, please work with your Case Manager so your enrollment can be processed through the Ready to Work program.

How do I earn my professional certificate?

Each certificate is made up of several online courses available on Coursera.
When you complete all of the required courses in your chosen training, you’ll
earn a professional certificate to enhance your resume and showcase your
skills to potential employers. The certificate is awarded upon completion of
the final course, and you will receive steps in your course on how to
download and share your certificate with others.

How much time am I given to earn my certificate?

Our Ready to Work participants are given 6 months of access to Coursera to
earn their certificate. Our Completion Coaches help ensure learners stay on
track to complete within the given timeframe.

How long do I have access to a Completion Coach?

Access to Completion Coaches is included in your Ready to Work tuition cost
for the duration of your training. While you can choose not to work with a
Completion Coach, the benefit will remain available to you for the duration of
your training.
