Palo Alto College offers high-quality, affordable, and FUN summer camp options for children ages 2 to 18! This year, we’ve added the option to sign up for specialized mini-camps to enhance your child’s full-day summer camp experience. These specialized mini-camps are also available as stand-alone camps for those parents who can accommodate half-day camps. Check out the summer camp options below. Registration will be available online beginning Wednesday, March 15.

Palo Alto College Kids’ Camp

The Palo Alto College Kids’ Summer Camp is designed to promote leadership and character development for children ages 5 – 12 through physical activity and classroom learning customized by age group. Each week, campers will enjoy a variety of themed activities focusing on sports and hands-on projects, with a special Friday field trip. Hot lunches will be provided Monday through Thursday by the San Antonio Food Bank; students should bring a packed lunch for the field trip. This camp is hosted by Palo Alto College’s Campus Recreation Department.

Price: $150 per session for first child, price breaks for additional children

“Books Alive” Theatre Camp

Students will learn to bring books alive by re-enacting characters out of their favorite books borrowed from the Palo Alto College Children’s Library. Students ages 11-12 will gain hands-on stage technology experience such as lighting, sound, and set building. This program is hosted by Palo Alto College’s Drama department.

Discover 3D Design

Through a series of hands-on activities, students will learn physical and/or digital concepts for building in three dimensions. Activities vary by age group and include working with Lego blocks, participating in a tower construction competition, learning to use 3D design software, and printing in 3D. Hosted by the PAC Children's Library.

Discover Robotics

Students will be introduced to the amazing world of robots and robotics through hands-on activities. Activities vary by age group and include learning how robots perform tasks, building robot kits, and programming robots. This program is hosted by the Palo Alto College Children’s Library.

Learn to Swim at the Aquatic Center

Students will learn the skills needed to swim efficiently through 10 levels of instruction set forth by Swim America for swimmers of all ages. Session options include one week (four classes) or two weeks (eight classes) for 30 to 45 minutes each. Participants are able to choose from a group option (4:1 ratio) or a semi private option offering one instructor per two swimmers. At the end of each session, swimmers will receive a certificate for each level of completion.

Pre-teen and Teen


STEM Camp

Students will be exposed to the exciting world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). During the two-week camp, students will perform hands-on activities in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Computer Gaming. Career and Technical Education (CTE) will be incorporated to demonstrate practical applications of STEM to the workforce areas. Lunch will be provided by the San Antonio Food Bank for those students registering for an afternoon add-on mini-camp.

Sports Camp

Students will spend their afternoons focusing on a different sports activity each day as well as open gym activities. No previous sports experience is necessary. Students will also be treated to a fun-filled extravaganza on the last Friday of each two-week session.
