Connect with St. Philip's College!

Student Life provides engaging activities that enhance the college experience at St. Philip’s College. Student Life activities build a sense of community and pride within the college, and create connections between the college and its students.

A few ways Student Life connects students are through:

Student Services Activity Fee

DID YOU KNOW?

    • Student Services Fees are based on student college credit hours.  Students are charged $1 for per every credit hour they are registered for each semester.
    • The Student Services Advisory Fee committee is composed of 5 voting student members, 4 voting faculty/staff members, and alternate student members
    • The majority vote of yes/no must come from the student members

Students at each of the Alamo Colleges are voting on whether or not they support an increase of this fee, which is currently $1 per credit hour. Vote for an increase to $2 per credit hour, a flat rate of $15,

or no change. Increasing the Student Services Activity fee will provide more monies to support co-curricular activities, leadership opportunities, clubs, organizations, sports, Homecoming, Welcome Week, Spirit Day, prizes for tournaments, fitness, wellness, on/off campus activities, entertainers, speakers, events and more!

E. L. Turbon Student Center

The Turbon Student Center is being renovated!  The project is expected to be completed in July of 2017.  In the meantime, Student Life has been relocated to the Norris Technical Building (NTB) 307.  Students will enjoy many of the same services offered in the Turbon: space for lounging, pool tables, ping pong, video gaming area and much more.

The new location has meeting rooms, spaces for gaming,  flat screens to watch your favorite shows, lounge areas, and houses the Student Government Association's office, Collegiate 100, and Extramural Coaches' offices.

Students are encouraged to get involved in student organizations. There are numerous student clubs on campus. There are social clubs, special interest clubs, and clubs organized by educational departments. Information on student clubs and organizations can be found in NTB 304.
