Services Offered
E. L. Turbon Student Center
The Center is the “home away from home” for students. Here you can relax, study, visit with friends, eat, or merely engage in competitive games. A short nap between classes is another favorite Center activity.
The Turbon Student Center is a multi-purpose facility and serves as the focal point for Student Life at St. Philip's College.
The Center has meeting rooms, a snack area, a big screen TV, viewing area, a lounge, and houses the Student Government Association's office.
- "Lobby" offers students a place to meet with other students, tutors, university recruiters, seek employment opportunities and many other opportunities.
- "Main Floor" here you can just "hangout", study, relax, play video games, or take a nap.
- "Vending Area" contains vending machines and a microwave
- "Stage" has a pool table, arcade games, dominoes, and much more.
- "Pennant Room" is a multi-purpose room used for meetings and gatherings.
Entertainment in the Turbon Center during a semester offers something for everyone.
- Live music

- dance exhibitions,
- mechanical bull rides,
- poetry slams,
- magicians,
- noted speakers,
- self-help and development workshops
These and many other events are free to students!
Students are encouraged to get involved in student organizations. There are numerous student clubs on campus. There are social clubs, special interest clubs, and clubs organized by educational departments. Information on student clubs and organizations can be found in the Turbon Center.
Services Available
Discounted Bus Cards - Discounted VIA bus cards are available at the beginning of the Fall semester and are free to students with a show of your Student ID Card.
Lockers - A limited number of lockers are located in the Center. These lockers are free and issued on a first come first serve basis. Lockers can also be found in the Campus Center.
Student Lounge - We have several student lounge areas throughout the Turbon Student Center. Vending machines, microwave, tables, books, and televisions are available for student use.
CultureFest & Rib Cook-off
The CultureFest & Rib Cook-Off has become a tradition on our campus. Every year, on the Thursday before the Battle of Flowers Parade, we welcome one and all to celebrate with us. Admission is free and open to the public. Read More >

Student Engagement Grants (SEG)
Grants are appropriated for the academic year. A grant recipient who demonstrates commitment to the project initiative and maintains academic eligibility may receive funding for each session. Read More >
