We are committed to providing secure testing environments and high-quality customer service. Available testing services vary by location.

Testing is by appointment only, and all testers are encouraged to arrive at least 30-minutes early to allow for check-in procedures. All testing fees are non-refundable.

Certiport provides certification candidates with learning materials and certification practice tests to prepare them for high-stakes, career-oriented certifications.

Manufacturing Skill Standards Council

Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Test Site 7288 & 4353

The Alamo Technical Institute teaches Manufacturing Skill Standards Council’s (MSSC) certification programs designed to equip students and employees with the core skills and competencies needed to be stand-out candidates to future employers.

Employers can be confident in the industry-relevant knowledge and abilities of their employees who have passed MSSC certification exams.

National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)

The Alamo Technical Institute – Eastside Education and Training Center is an authorized National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) testing site. The current assessment is only available for ATI Construction Trades learners.

The National Healthcareer Association (NHA) provides certifications for allied health professionals, helping individuals gain recognized credentials in fields such as medical assisting, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy technician, and billing and coding.

GED® Testing

All Alamo Technical Institute locations are designated as Authorized Pearson Vue Test Centers for administering the General Educational Development Computer Based Test (GED-CBT) under the guidelines of the GED Testing Services and Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Only authorized testing centers may administer tests under TEC 7.11 and TAC 89.41-47.

Texas Success Initiative

The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment is a state-mandated placement exam, used to assess a student's proficiency in Writing, Reading, and Mathematics. For more detailed information on the TSI, please refer to the Student Informational Brochure

Exemptions and Waivers

You may be eligible for an exemption or waiver from the TSI based on your previous college coursework, military experience or previous test scores. Do not take the TSI if any of the following applies to you:
