Priority Deadlines

The Financial Aid Application priority deadline listed ensures the review and processing of a student's financial aid application before the first day of class.

To qualify as a priority applicant, Alamo Colleges must receive your completed FAFSA or TASFA, verification documents, and all other requested documents ON or BEFORE the priority date. Standard processing time can take 2-3 weeks, so please submit your FAFSA early enough for processing and additional documents to be requested and collected prior to the priority date. 

If Alamo Colleges receives your FAFSA and/or other requested documents AFTER the priority deadline, you will not be considered a priority applicant.

Awarding

If you meet the priority date and it is determined you are eligible to receive aid, an award will be posted to your ACES Financial Aid account. It will then be applied towards your tuition as early as 10 days prior to the first day of class. More information can be found under Refunds. Not all students who meet the priority date are guaranteed to receive a financial aid award.
