My Tuition Payment Plan

Make college more affordable by paying for tuition and fees over time.
Tuition payment plans break down your tuition balance into affordable payments. There is no interest and payment options are flexible.
  • Payments will automatically be deducted from the bank account authorized during sign-up on the dates indicated on the payment schedule.

  • A $10 Late Fee will be assessed if the payment is declined.

  • Accounts not paid by the final due date are subject to be sent to one of the Alamo Colleges District Collection Agencies, and you are responsible for any additional fees assessed.

  • Payment deadlines vary based on when you registered and your chosen plan. You choose a plan based on your registration enrollment or when your classes are offered.

How to Set Up a Payment Plan
  • Open the menu 
  • Select ‘All Cards’ 
  • Type “Bill” in the search bar and the ‘Student Account’ card will appear
  • Select the second option, ‘Pay Your Bill’
  • Select Virtual Business Office (online payments)

  • Select Enroll in Payment Plan

  • Select a term (semester)  
  • Select a Payment Plan  
  • Enter when you would like these payments to be due  
  • Click Select a Payment Method 
  • Select Agree to Terms 
  • Select Print Agreement 
Academic Payment Plans

Payment plans are available in Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

All payment plans will be available in ACES. Each plan has a specific enrollment period.

Continuing Education Payment Plans

Enrollment in a plan must be made before the first day of class.  Plans are available to students with a minimum of $440.00 in eligible charges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I receiving emails from Bank Mobile/BM Technologies, Inc., (BMTX)?

BMTX is the refunding servicer for the Alamo Colleges. BMTX will never ask for PII or Personal Identifiable Information, such as your log in credentials, phone number, address, banking information, social security number, etc. via email.

Beware of scams/phishing emails.

  • Any changes to your refund preference should be made by you, only the student, through your Bank Mobile profile.
  • Do not share your account information with anyone.

What refund preferences do I have available?

  • Direct deposit (your own personal savings or checking account).
  • Vibe Checking Account (monthly service fee applies).
  • Refund Check (funds held up to 21 days before mailed).
How often does Alamo Colleges process refunds?

Refunds are processed twice a week, Monday and Wednesday.

Bank Mobile will receive refund files Tuesday and Thursday.

In most cases, students who selected the direct deposit option will receive their funds on Wednesday or Friday.

Allow 24-48 hours for a Business Office reply to your email.

How do I pay my tuition?

Students are required to pay in full, enroll in a payment plan, have Financial Aid funding approved and posted to your student account (Pell grant, loans, grants, scholarships), or 3rd Party payments must be memoed to your student account.

Can I pay with cash, cashier’s check or money order?

Yes, you can pay cash at any of the Alamo Colleges Business Offices during regular hours of operation.

Payment plans require automatic payments. The down payment can be paid with cash, but will require you to save your debit, credit or electronic check as a saved payment method.

For Current Students Paying with an Electronic Check or Credit Card:

  • Log into ACES
  • Paying For College
  • Select Pay Your Bill under Student Account
  • Select Pay Now for Paying in Full
  • Select Enroll in Payment Plan if you would like to set up a payment plan
    • You must pay in full or set up a payment plan to secure your courses.
    • Partial payments will NOT secure your courses from being dropped.

What happens if I miss an installment for my payment plan?

All students are required to have auto payments for their installments.

A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed and the system will attempt to withdraw the payment within 24 to 48 hours after the initial installment payment due date.

You will not be dropped from your courses for a missed installment. Please continue to attend classes.

I added a class and already enrolled in a payment plan.

The charges for the additional class will be divided into the installments set up on your payment plan.

My account was sent to a collection agency. How can I pay?

When is my payment deadline?

Your payment deadline is determined by your registration dates. Please visit our Payment Calendar: https://www.alamo.edu/academics/academic-resources/academic-calendar/.

When will I see my classes paid if I have an award?

If approved, Pell grant, loans, grants and scholarships will post to your account and pay your charges 10 days prior to the start date of your classes.

  • Your awards could be disbursed at different times throughout the semester if you have different start dates.
  • If you were selected for verification or submitted FAFSA late, you will receive your awards, if approved, according to the Financial Aid timetable.
  • Payment plans can be utilized until your awards are approved.
  • Installment due dates are not dependent on your awards and must be paid in accordance with your payment plan contract.
What can I do if I’ve been dropped for non-payment?
I dropped a course. Will I get a refund?
  • Visit our Payment Calendar to see if your drop has occurred during our refund period: https://www.alamo.edu/academics/academic-resources/academic-calendar/ .
  • If you have received Financial Aid funds, please check with the Financial Aid department before dropping courses. Your award may be adjusted and you may owe money to the Department of Education.
  • If you have paid cash, electronic check or credit card, your refund will be processed through Bank Mobile. A refund preference is required by all students.
  • 3rd party payments will require a reduction in your approved amount.

Where can I submit a petition or appeal?
Why is my tuition rate high?

Your tuition rate is based on your residency classification specified on your ApplyTexas application.

If you feel your residency classification is incorrect, visit your Records/Residency department at your home college or view their residency information online.

What is a 1098-T form?

A 1098-T form is an IRS tax form that can be used when processing your income taxes, for a possible credit.

1098-T forms are available every year no later than January 31.

You can print your 1098-T through ACES in the Virtual Business Office.
