ACD Chancellor Dr. Mike Flores Named Among Texas 100 Most Influential People

Dr. Mike Flores, Alamo Colleges District Chancellor, has been named on the Texas 100 list - an annual list of influential Texans to watch this year.
The Texas 100 is an effort by the Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio Business Journals. It is an assessment based on newsrooms' reporting and expertise covering the region's high-powered business community. The list runs the gamut, from tech entrepreneurs to celebrity chefs to real estate gurus to sports stars.
Dr. Flores was named an Alamo City changemaker for his signature AlamoPROMISE program, the Alamo Colleges District’s tuition-free college program offering the promise of a quality college education free from financial burden.
"I’m honored to be named among some incredible leaders listed on the Texas 100, including transformative leaders within our San Antonio community,” said Dr. Flores, Alamo Colleges District Chancellor. “Together, we can be true catalysts for positive change.”
Now in its fifth year, AlamoPROMISE is serving 20 school districts and partners, including 73 San Antonio-area high schools and programs, as well as private, charter, and home schools in Bexar County as a result of an expanded level of service that reaches more students across the region.
Dr. Flores has served in various roles within the Alamo Colleges District for more than 20 years and recently completed five years of service as Chancellor.
