Library Vision & Mission: Statement of Purpose
Vision
To lead the future of academic libraries through innovation, access and student-centered support.
Mission
The San Antonio College Library supports student success by providing equitable access to high-quality resources, services and research support for students, faculty and staff. Through collaborative technologies and on-demand services, the library connects the college community to the information and tools needed for teaching, learning and discovery.
The library offers a single point of access to research databases and other academic resources, along with personalized research assistance through chat, email, text, phone, online meetings and in-person support. Librarians deliver course-integrated information literacy instruction through Canvas-embedded research guides and videos, as well as real-time online classes and one-on-one “Book a Librarian” appointments.
