40th Anniversary
A 40th Anniversary Message from President Dr. Robert Garza
Since 1985, Palo Alto College has stood as a place of access, a beacon of hope and transformation in South San Antonio. Our mission has always been to guide our students on their unique educational journey with confidence and support.
Over the past four decades, we’ve become more than just a college, we’ve become a place where students find opportunities. Palo Alto College has helped students succeed so they can break the cycle of generational poverty, build legacies, and believe in what’s possible. Our mantra at Palo Alto College is to simply care about people and have the Corazón to want to help people and that unwavering Care and Corazón is what defines who we are.
PAC’s 40-year anniversary is deeply personal to me. I’ve had the privilege of serving at PAC for over 20 years in various roles on campus and as President for the past eight. During this time, I’ve seen the strength of our PAC familia, the faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners who show up every day with passion, purpose, and pride.
As we honor the achievements of the past four decades, we remain steadfast in our commitment to a vibrant and promising future, guided by the same vision and determination that built this institution. We will continue to expand educational access, develop innovative programs, and foster an environment in which every student who walks on our campus feels a profound sense of belonging, recognizes their own potential, and understands that their goals are valued.
Thank you for being part of our story, and for helping us navigate toward an even brighter future.
