Information Technology Services supports the technical needs of students, faculty, and staff. Services range from technical support and training, computer labs, printing services, software downloads, and equipment rentals.

  • Did you know that Palo Alto College has over 200 computers on campus available for public use? Desktop computers are located in classrooms, tutoring centers, and the Ozuna Library. 

    The Academic Learning Studio is a working lab where students and community members can access email, type and print papers, work on online courses, and more.

    Services include:

    • Workshops and one-on-one assistance for Microsoft Office 365 apps, basic computer skills, and creating ePortfolios.
    • Printing services
    • Innovative technology
    • Basic repairs, including device troubleshooting, hardware diagnostics, antivirus scans, software/hardware installations and consultations, and data backup or transfer

Laptop Rental

The Academic Learning Studio has over 70 laptops available for monthly rental on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must have indicated Palo Alto College as their home campus and be currently enrolled in at least one course at the College. In order to secure a laptop, students must provide two forms of identification (student ID and state or federal ID).


Being digitally connected is becoming more of a necessity as time goes on. The Alamo Colleges District partners with Connect2Compete, a national nonprofit, to provide students and employees low-cost computers and free or low cost internet service, along with the hardware and the digital skills to effectively and safely use the internet.

Depending on home location, students may qualify for fast free service or a discounted high-speed Internet data plan. Low-cost computers are also available. Apply online by visiting or by calling toll free 1-877-848-2810.
