TRiO Talent Search

This U.S. Department of Education grant-funded program aims to increase the number of students from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school, enroll in college, and earn a degree.

TRIO Talent Search program participants are provided with: group and individual academic advising, tutoring services, career exploration, aptitude assessments, counseling, mentoring programs, workshops, information on postsecondary institutions, financial and economic literacy education. The program also publicizes the availability of financial aid and assists participants with the postsecondary application process.

Students will be selected for the program based on their need for these services and on their qualifications. The TRIO Talent Search Program is a joint venture funded through the U.S. Department of Education, Palo Alto College, Southwest ISD, South San Antonio ISD, and Somerset ISD. All services provided are free for students and their families, although some students may not qualify for all services.

All students interested in joining TRIO Talent Search must complete an application together with their parent or guardian.
