Resilience in the Face of Adversity

I graduated on May 20, 2022, 30 years after finishing high school. Unfortunately, I lost both of my parents; my dad passed away on January 1, 2020, and my mom on February 16, 2022. As a woman who survived domestic violence, I lived in a women's battered shelter for a couple of months. After leaving the shelter, I made the decision to attend college. I hope to continue my education and pursue a bachelor's degree in the future.
