Register for Classes

Students who have been enrolled in a course at Palo Alto College within the last two (2) academic terms can use the following process to register for classes. Students are encouraged to meet with their assigned academic advisor before registering for classes. Students who have reached 15, 30, or 45-credit hour milestones may require a personal identification number (PIN) from their assigned advisor before registering.

 


  1. Log into the ACES Portal with Alamo Colleges District username and password. 
  2. Click on My Page Tab on the left-side tool bar.
  3. Click on Register Here icon.
  4. Click on Proceed to Registration and complete survey, if applicable.
  5. Click on Register for Classes.
  6. Select appropriate Term from the drop-down menu, then click Continue (*DO NOT select COM/CE Term)
  7. Enter Search Criteria
    1. Enter Subject (i.e., ENGL, MATH) 
    2. Enter Course Number (i.e., 1301, 1314) 
    3. Click Advanced Search
    4. Enter College (i.e., Palo Alto College), then click Search
  8. Review all courses listed, expand Meeting Times column for course days, times and method of instruction.
  9. Under Title click course name (i.e., Composition I) for important course information 
  10. To register, click on the Add button next the desired course. Use the worksheet above to write down day(s) and time of course.
  11. Click Submit at the bottom right corner 
  12. To search for another course, click Search Again on the upper right-hand corner and begin process again.
  13. To view class schedule, click on Schedule Details on the lower left-hand corner.
