35th Anniversary

The year 2020 marks the beginning of a new decade, and for Palo Alto College, it also marks 35 years of service to the South Side community.

After three-and-a-half decades of inspiring, empowering, and educating the community for leadership and success, Palo Alto College’s commitment to its mission has not gone unnoticed.

Selected from a pool of more than 1,000 public two-year colleges nationwide, Palo Alto College was named a “Rising Star” award winner of the 2019 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence – making it one of the top community colleges in the nation and the best in Texas. To reaffirm that recognition, Palo Alto College was once again named as one of the top 150 colleges in the country invited to apply for the 2021 Aspen Prize.
