TRIO Student Support Services

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a free program that assists students with postsecondary course selection, information on the full range of student financial aid programs, scholarship searches, and financial aid applications. Additionally, TRIO SSS provides education to improve financial literacy and application assistance for students transferring to a four-year university.

Eligibility

Student must:

Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or an individual who meets residency requirements to receive federal student aid
Be enrolled (full-time or part-time) at Palo Alto College and must have Palo Alto College designated as home institution
Be enrolled at Palo Alto College with the intention of completing a certificate or associate’s degree and transferring to a 4-year program of study

And

Must meet at least ONE or more of the following requirements:

Be a first - generation student as defined by the Department of Education (neither parent has completed a bachelor’s degree);
May have a documented physical, psychological, or learning disability; or
Meet federal income guidelines
