Dental Hygiene Clinic
The Palo Alto College Dental Hygiene Clinic, established in September 2023, provides low-cost to no-cost dental hygiene services to the community. The clinic supports students in gaining experiential learning while offering care to community members under the supervision of licensed professionals.

Students receive their education through experiential clinical practice in our on-site clinic. Through the learning process, students’ complete requirements of skill and safety to allow them to proceed to actual patient care. Through this treatment process, every phase of treatment is supervised and graded by licensed faculty. |

Our Dental Hygiene Clinic is part of a teaching environment, where student hygienists provide care under the supervision of licensed dental professionals. Because of this, appointments are longer than typical dental office visits, and most treatments require multiple appointments to complete. Most patients will need between 2 and 6 visits to complete their cleaning and other hygiene services. Each visit may last 2 to 3 hours, depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. We understand your time is valuable and appreciate your patience as our students gain hands-on experience while providing you with thorough, high-quality preventive care at a reduced cost.
