First Gen Week
Nov. 6-8, Event
This event is free and open to the community.
Join us as we celebrate individuals who are the first in their families to go to college. We recognize how the Higher Education Act of 1965 expanded educational opportunities for low-income, potential first-generation college graduates.
This week-long event includes workshops for college and high school students, as well as faculty and staff to improve student persistence and resilience. Hear what motivates First Gen students and find out more about this majority minority population at our institution. Learn how to help them to make their dreams a reality.
