Mariachi Palomino Wins 1st Place

Mariachi Palomino traveled to Albuquerque, NM, July 8th-July 12th for the Mariachi Spectacular de Albuquerque, Mariachi workshops, and contest. PAC students participated in instrument and voice workshops and learned from some of the best in the mariachi education field.
On July 10th, the students competed at the Albuquerque Plaza among competitors from around the United States. That night, they were awarded 1st place in the university division. On Saturday, July 11th, the students attended a concert at the Sandia Amphitheater and watched many professional mariachis, including "Mariachi Sol de Mexico," under the direction of Jose Hernandez.
