What is the speech communication program?

The Speech Communication program regards speech as the basic tool to effective communication. Courses are geared to help students improve ability to communicate in both social settings and in the workplace and are designed to promote self-confidence and speaking ability in order to enhance the individual student's potential for achieving his/her personal, educational, and professional goals.

This program is a THECB-approved Field of Study, which means all coursework completed on the degree plan will fully transfer to satisfy the first two years of a Communications degree at any four-year public college or university in Texas.
