    COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments at SPC

    • Join us for our Alumni Art Show virtual exhibit from April 17 - May 16. We are featuring artwork from SPC Alumni. Learn more.
    • COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments at SPC: Vaccine appointments will be available at the newly added vaccine site, St. Philip's College (MLK Campus) through Wednesday, May 19. Appointments will continue as scheduled at Wonderland of the Americas. We will continue opening vaccine appointments as they become available. If you are not able to schedule an appointment on your first attempt, please check the website again later. Everyone age 16 and older is now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in Texas.     • St. Philip's College  and South Texas Blood and Tissue Center will host a Blood Drive May 10, 2021 between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. in front of the Center for Health Professions Building (MLK-CHP).

    • Race/Ethnicity Pilot Survey: From April 26-May 28, St. Philip’s College will be participating in a pilot survey focused on issues of race/ethnicity. The survey is being offered by the Center for Community College Student Engagement, a service and research organization at the University of Texas at Austin. The survey will help us understand our students’ experiences with racism, inclusion and belonging. As this online survey will be administered to our students during the term, if you are an instructor or are a staff member who interacts with students, please encourage your students to complete the Race/Ethnicity Pilot Survey To learn more about the Center for Community College Student Engagement, visit www.cccse.org or contact 512-471-6807 or info@cccse.org.

    • Recognition of Service for Amy Huebner: St. Philip’s College recognizes Amy Huebner for her service, scholarly work, and national leadership to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the early childhood field. Over the past year, NAEYC has relied on her service as a peer review in their Accreditation of Early Childhood Higher Education Programs system. Because of the contributions of Ms. Huebner and her colleagues, they have conducted reviews that have resulted in the accreditation of degree programs at 187 institutions through fair and thorough reviews of their ability to meet national standards. Join us in recognizing and congratulating Ms. Huebner!
    • Texas Freeze: Recently, Texas faced one of the scariest storms we’ve had in years. The Texas Freeze took many of us by surprise and affected each of us differently. We want to share your stories with our community.  The Department of Marketing and Strategic Communications is currently accepting video recordings of individuals who want to share their experience with the Texas Freeze. This video will feature employees at SPC and will be shared on social media. Video submissions can be uploaded here.
