    • In solidarity with Domestic Violence Awareness Month, SPC invites you to acknowledge domestic violence survivors and be a voice for its victims by wearing purple on the Day of Purple, Wednesday, October 19. We ask students, faculty, and staff to wear purple on the 19th and take a group photo as we stand in Solidarity. MLK Campus - Courtyard at 12:00 p.m. and SW Campus - Welding & Auto Collision Center at 1:00 p.m.
    • University Health is hosting a COVID Pop-Up Clinic for ages 3 and up in the Center for Learning Resources (CLR) Library on October 5, 2022, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

    • St. Philip’s College will host two days of the San Antonio Black International Film Festival. After the opening night at Carver Community Cultural Center (Oct. 6), the festival moves to various locations at the college for screenings, workshops and filmmaker sessions. The theme of this year’s festival “Animation in Black” showcases talented animators from around the globe, with the aim to inspire new talent. Learn more.

    • The Alamo Colleges District Mobile App is now available! The Alamo Colleges District app keeps students informed, connected, and up-to-date with easy access to all five colleges' student account information and resources. Download the mobile app today! Learn more.
    • Energy Conservation Efforts: Due to predicted power demands for Summer, the Alamo Colleges District is partnering with CPS Energy by instituting “energy conservation” efforts. The areas affected will be our AC systems. Energy conservation efforts will take place June 1 -September 30 between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. and last approximately four hours. Utility providers do not have an exact date/time for each occurrence. Updates will be sent via email.
    • SPC Spirit: St. Philip's College shows its spirit every Wednesday for Spirit Day. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear royal blue and white, or a blue SPC t-shirt!

    • Students! The William Allen Hudgins Health and Wellness Center (WAH) gym is available to students. Students must have a valid Alamo College ID and Sign In at the front desk.     • Federal regulations provide the opportunity to appeal the loss of your financial aid eligibility recognizing that there may be circumstances that prevented you from meeting the minimum SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) standards. Financial Aid appeals for the Spring 2023 semester are currently being accepted via your ACES portal September 12-November 4, 2022 after FIRST meeting with your academic advisor.     • Physical Therapist Assistant Program Information Sessions:  Learn about careers in physical therapy, St. Philip’s College’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program, and how to apply to the program.  The sessions will be conducted via Zoom, and you must request the Zoom link and password by e-mailing Ms. Kris Aguilar at kaguilar19@alamo.edu.  The sessions will take place on October 4 at 9:00 A.M. and November 1 at 5:00 P.M. Each session will contain the same information, so you do not need to attend more than one.
