TSI - Take the TSI at Home

How to take the TSI at home:

1. First please contact the testing center at pac-testcenter@alamo.edu or call 210-486-3444 to verify if you need testing or if you are eligible for an exemption/waiver. If testing is required, you will follow the steps below.
2. It is important to confirm that Examity is the right fit for your testing needs. For student information regarding Examity, click here. 
   • You can contact Examity via phone at 1-855-392-6489 (1-855-EXAMITY). To test with Examity, you will need to create an account with them by clicking here. 
   • There is a $25 proctoring fee paid when you schedule with Examity. This cost is in addition to Palo Alto College's TSI assessment fee (paid separately).
   • Confirm that you meet their technical requirements.
   • Verify a virtual proctor is available when you want to take the TSI assessment.
   • You can make your appointment with Examity at this time or wait until you get your TSI assessment voucher number.
   • Next you MUST move onto Step 2 (seen below) in order to submit your request to Palo Alto College for a testing voucher. You will not be able to take the TSI through Examity without completing this step.
3. To test at home, please follow the following steps:
   • Have a current ApplyTexas application on file.
   • Complete the AlamoEnroll Modules in your ACES account.
   • Contact the Palo Alto College Testing Center to verify if testing is required.
   • If testing is required, the TSI fees can be paid through the Virtual Business office. 
   • Contact the Palo Alto College Testing Center with payment information to set up a voucher for the on-line testing at home. You can contact the Testing Center by phone at 210-486-3444 or via email at pac-testcenter@alamo.edu.
   • The following information will be needed to set up the voucher: first name, last name, Banner ID, date of birth, address, email, and phone number.
4. The day of your testing appointment with Examity, you will need the following items:
   • Valid photo ID
   • Testing voucher number
   • Note: Examity may have additional requirements. Please be sure to communicate with them to determine what these requirements may be.
5. The Testing Center will contact you within 48 hours after the completion of your TSI assessment regarding your next steps towards registration.
