Engineering
What is the engineering?
Engineering is the application of science and math to solve problems. Engineers figure out how things work and find practical uses for scientific discoveries. Though scientists and inventors often get the credit for innovations that advance the human condition, engineers make those innovations available to the world. From our shoes to our homes, all the technology around us was imagined, designed, and built by engineers. As the world continues to face some of its biggest challenges like climate change, food insecurity, and access to clean water, it will continue to look to engineers to provide solutions to improve our lives. |
Engineering Program HighlightsThe engineering program is an Associate of Science (AS) degree with a concentration in Engineering. After earning an AS degree at Palo Alto College, students can transfer to a 4-year college to get a BS in a specific engineering specialization. Note: Some four-year institutions may not accept all courses in the Associate of Science as part of their Baccalaureate Degree Program. |
