National Preparedness Month
Learn more about how to stay safe on campus by heading down to the SAC Mall from 9 to 11 a.m. every Wednesday in September to ask questions and learn more safety tips for on and off campus from SAC's risk management expert Dominique Fonseca.
Prepare Yourself, Car, and Home
- Prepare at least one ready-to-go bag with emergency supplies per household member. Supplies can include food, water, emergency contact numbers, medications, first aid supplies, phone charger, flashlight, etc.
- Keep an extra kit in your car with printed maps, jumper cables, and roadside assistance phone numbers.
- Create an emergency plan with your household members that accounts for your pets and livestock and includes disability, access, and functional needs equipment.
- Practice your emergency plan so you know how long it might take for your household to grab kits and leave if you needed to.
