Phi Theta Kappa
What is Phi Theta Kappa?
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), founded in 1918, is the official international honor society for two-year colleges and is recognized by the American Association of Community Colleges. PTK recognizes and celebrates the academic achievements of community college students and provides opportunities for continued growth through leadership, scholarship, service, and fellowship.
Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is one of the highest honors a community college student can receive. PTK offers numerous benefits, including access to transfer scholarships, leadership development, community service opportunities, and recognition for academic excellence. Many four-year universities actively seek PTK members and offer exclusive scholarships to support their continued education.
We are proud to be the Psi Kappa Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at St. Philip’s College. Our chapter provides students with opportunities to:
-
Develop leadership skills
-
Participate in campus and community service
-
Engage in academic and professional development
-
Connect with other high-achieving students
-
Access scholarships and transfer opportunities
We congratulate our members on their academic accomplishments and encourage them to remain active participants in scholarship, leadership, and service. Psi Kappa members represent the highest standards of academic excellence at St. Philip’s College.
