What is Database Administration, A.A.S.

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Database Administration is designed to help aspiring technology and database experts to get to their best work! It prepares students to design, implement, secure, and manage modern databases across on-premises and cloud environments while developing the technical and professional skills needed for today’s data-driven workforce. It equips them with the knowledge and skills required, emphasizing database analysis, development, and administration across both on-premises and cloud environments. Students will gain expertise in ensuring data availability, integrity, and security, while also learning to optimize database performance and provide reliable support for organizational decision-making. In addition, the curriculum integrates hands-on technical training with industry-recognized certifications, preparing graduates for professional roles in database administration and related fields.
